No. 113/2009 CORRECTION - Svenska Kraftnät's commitment to establish Bidding Areas in Sweden

Further to Exchange information No. 112/2009 (22 December 2009) - Nord Pool Spot has received the following CORRECTION from Svenska Kraftnät:

The correct wording reads:

In order to comply with the concerns expressed by the Commission in Case No 39351 Swedish Interconnectors, Svenska Kraftnät has offered commitments to the European Commission in accordance with Article 9 of Council Regulation No 1/2003. Svenska Kraftnät expects that the Commission adopts a decision making these commitments binding.

As a result of such a decision Svenska Kraftnät will subdivide the Swedish transmission system into four bidding zones defined by the three cross-sections (cut 1, cut 2 and cut 4) where congestion occurs. For details see attached map and table. Svenska Kraftnät will operate the system on this basis from the date 2011 set out in the decision adopted by the Commission.
